Ping-Pong

History


Ping Pong originated in Europe when people did not have any sport to play in the winter. It started as a Parlor Game, and as long as you had
a ball, a table, and a racket, you could play. The first people to patent the sport were the Parker Brothers, who actually called the game
"Ping-Pong". The next invention in the history of Ping-Pong was the invention of celluloid ball. Then, the International Table Tennis
Association was formed. Then, in 1950, a sponge-layered skin added extreme spin, which is why modern games have so much spin. It was made by Japan

Nowadays, we use plastic Ping Pong balls instead of celluloid. The net for Ping-Pong has to be 6 inches high, and the Ping Pong table
should be about 9 by 5 feet long (2.74 meters by 1.525 meters). The height of the table is about 30 inches (76 cm) in the air, and the net
of the Ping Pong table is 6 feet (1.83 meters) long. The racket should be about 6.7 inches (17 cm) for the blade and width of 5 9 inches
(15 cm). The overall length of the Ping Pong racket should be between 9.45 - 10.25 inches | 240-260 mm. The paddle should have a red and
black side. The ball should be 40mm in diameter.
